Just in time for Father’s Day!
A new father demonstrates a novel technique for getting a crying baby to sleep in a hilarious home video.
Nunzio Raso from Ontario, Canada, is seen climbing into his daughter Michela’s crib after his efforts to soothe her from the sidelines fail to work.
Immediately, once he’s hoisted himself over the railings and lay down, everything goes silent, as little Michela snuggles up on his chest and dozes off.
However, each time he moves, Michela stirs and repositions herself in a more awkward way.
At one point, she slumps her body sideways across her father’s stomach and refuses to budge.
Although Mr Raso’s video is three-minutes and 48-seconds long, he said he was stuck in the crib for six hours.
Luckily the crib was able to hold up to 250lbs.
Ms Raso’s video has been watched more than 10.2 million times since it was uploaded on November 24 2009, with viewers deeming it ‘cute’ and ‘adorable’.
The footage also caused some to reflect on their own experiences of being a child or parenting.
‘My father’s chest was the safest place in the world. I use to call him my pillow!’ one commenter wrote.
Another added: ‘This is so funny because I have to do the same thing just not in a crib, but believe me I thought about it.
